Brainstorms and Moodboards
Brainstorms and moodboards are the artists way of visualising their ideas through relevent imagery and information. a good moodboard will represent the ideas that the artist is trying to convey with their idea. A good mindmap or brainstorm kickstarts the first step in ideas development, and can lead to gateways of ideas that weren't originally conceived once the creative ball gets rolling.

Mind Maps conveying these ideas - Themes and Colours
NEO-TOKYO - Neon aesthetics have become a rising trend in not just video game aesthetics, but trend aesthetics as well. The colours are bright yet appealing to the eye. They captivate. Evoking feelings of futurism and progress, as well as representing the streets as to where it all happens, remaining undeveloped yet bustling. Rainy days are typically portrayed here to give the sense of cold and harshness of the future. Everything being in Japanese, Chinese, Korean ETC. helps contribute to the stereotype that the Asian countries are the most technologically advanced, and not only that, streets like these exist in those regions already. Robotics, human advancement and technology is associated with this aesthetic. The use of the fonts "Computer says no" "E-four Digital pro" and "Antonio Bold" each give their own characteristics of their typeface. Computer says no reminds me of Terminal, the typeface used for old style computers, yet modernised to suit a futuristic neon age. E-four digital pro reminds me of more Asian aesthetic typefaces translated in to the English language and Antonio Bold reminds me of a harsh "documentational" typeface. The colour schemes consist of a range of reds, neon blues, neon pinks, purples, and sometimes even oranges and yellows.
Primary - Neon Blue, Neon pink.
Secondary - Neon red, Black, White.
Tertiary - Orange, Yellow.
Fonts: Computer says no, E-four digital Pro, Antonio Bold
Accents to take in to consideration - Rain, Fog, Pixels, Computer and coding language, can actually be irrelevant and just to add to the aesthetic, but can also list the specifications of the item in the advertisement.
Classical - Simplism, modernism, mixed with the detailed aesthetics of the Renaissance in the art world. Tranquillity, godlike figures, empowering the viewer to feel just like those icons throughout history for buying the product. This was an idea i got from the steelseries website. The imagery / aesthetic has been utilised before, and that could lead in to the fact that it creates a fully feasible theme of work. I would add some personalisation to it however, as they done their version very simplistic. I would keep the overall near monotone colour scheme of whites and greys and marbles, keep the same photo-shoot style, white walls with a white floor, yet add things such as greenery to give a mossy old effect. Imagery such as Gods and Emperors carved in to statues and busts will remain prominent. Integration of the products will require a lot of Photoshop skill but the end result would look really appealing to the eye, feeding from that feeling of satisfaction from imagery as well as simplicity. I chose the font Cormorant Garamond Medium and Light for the descriptive / motif text for the title text. It's sharp striking brackets, ascenders and serifs help give the text and imagery a more High Roman feel to the imagery that surrounds it. This moodboard is supposed to capture the simplicity of this theme and so is left uncluttered. Imagery is all succinct and in correct position, compositions are kept simple, and the main piece of imagery to look at is the largest, the statue to the left, just how we read from left to right, looking to the left first to see that comes naturally.
Primary: White, Washed Greens, Foliage, Black
Secondary: Grey
Tertiary: Gold
Fonts: Cormorant Garamond Light, Cormorant Garamond Medium
Accents to take in to consideration - The sea, waves crashing, monotone imagery. Moss, rubble, old Renaissance art, roman imagery, coins, buildings and landscapes, etc.
Interior Rustic: Feels of warm fires against the snowy drafts from the outside in a cosy wooden cabin. Fabulous interior decoration mixed with the hint of modernity to bring it to the modern day. Old vintage wooden desks and colour schemes mixed with the new lights of the technological age. LED's and candle light. Windows on a winters morning frosted with snow seen from just beside your desk with the SteelSeries setup. Using an old wooden vintage desk would be a great setting for photographing the peripherals on. This one is supposed to grasp at a homely, warming feel to the viewer. This sort of advert would be released more around winter time. Seasons contribute a lot to the feel of an advertisement. You wouldn't want to release a an advert based around the feelings evoked by winter in the summer, it will make the viewer feel uneasy, like its not supposed to be there quite yet, even if that'just a subconscious assumption made by them. Luckily it's summer now, so by the time these adverts are published it would be winter time, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to create this theme for an advertisement. With Photoshop and royalty free images, i can edit a background. With an old oak desk i can acquire, or even just planks for a more modern look to a desk, i can implement these features to create whole photographs promoting each peripheral on its own, although promoting an entire setup may be a problem as that would be hard to Photoshop. The typeface draws on the look of old wooden carved signs, with the crude arrow engraved in to the wood, and the font resembling that of a sign you might see on a door to one of these cabins. This typeface is Grainiana.
Primary: Cream, Brown, Washed Orange
Secondary: Paynes Grey
Tertiary: Vibrant orange
Fonts: Grainiana
Accents to take in to consideration: Flowers, Snow and fires
